Natalia V. Ustinova was born in December 19, 1975 in Kazan, her parents were doctors.
In 1993, she graduated from a secondary special school with a number of subjects in English and entered the pediatric faculty of Kazan Medical University.
From 1999 to 2001, she studied at the clinical residency (psychiatry).
2001-2004 - Postgraduate study, she studied the impact of a child’s severe illness - cerebral palsy - on the mental health of the mother, and in 2005 she received her PhD.
From 2003 to 2010, she worked as an assistant of professor in the department of psychiatry (Kazan State Medical University). Her research interests included the social aspects of children mental health.
In 2011 masters the 2nd medical specialty: public health and healthcare.
In accordance with scientific interests in 2011 she comes to the department of Social Pediatrics of the Scientific Center for Children's Health as a senior researcher.
From 2014 to 2019 - Head of the Laboratory of Social Pediatrics, Scientific Center for Children's Health.
In 2017 defended her doctoral dissertation: "The current state, research and practical development of social pediatrics", performed in two specialties (public health and pediatrics). Scientific consultants of the research were the luminaries of the Russian pediatrics: Academician of Science A.A. Baranov and Professor V.Yu. Albitsky.
From 2020 - Head of the department of social pediatrics and the development of multidisciplinary support for children at the Research Institute of Pediatrics and Child Health Protection of the Central Clinical Hospital of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Ustinova N. combines research with practice and teaching. From 2020, as the principal researcher, she consults children with neurodevelopment disorders at the Research and Practical Center for the Mental Health of Children and Adolescents. named after G.E. Sukhareva.
She is an active member of Russian and international professional societies: the Union of Pediatricians of Russia and the International Society of Social Pediatrics (ISSOP).
Since 2014 she is Member of the Council and Editorial Board of ISSOP.
